In her capacity as film composer and certified cultural manager, Gudrun Lehmann founded the label FilmSoundHamburg in 2010, which represents innovative projects and events and their combination of film and music.
In 2015/2016, Gudrun Lehmann and FilmSoundHamburg supervised the interactive film and music project MIX THE CITY HAMBURG, which was developed together with the well-known Israeli mashup artist Kutiman on behalf of Letterbox Filmproduktion and its partners, Hamburg Marketing and Elbphilharmonie. It shows the musical city of Hamburg from a completely new angle. Kutiman's innovative Videomix Mix Hamburg and the interactive internet platform MIX THE CITY HAMBURG have been online since the Hamburg premiere. There you can create your own mix on the image and sound level and share it with others.
From 2011 to 2014, Gudrun Lehmann initiated and organized the annual international summer academy for film music, sound design and games music, FilmSoundHamburg, the concept of which was unique: internationally renowned film composers, sound designers and games composers meet with up-and-coming composers in Hamburg for ten days to work and live together. Through the financial support of the city as well as the film and media industry, participation grants were awarded annually. At the same time, interesting events, concerts and evenings put on for members of the Hamburg film and music industry and their network.
The international summer academy FilmSoundHamburg offered high-quality content, an inspiring environment with a gorgeous view of the Elbe and a binding individual framework and thus quickly became one of the most important events of its kind in Europe. Patrick Doyle, Jan Kaczmarek, Shigeru Umebayashi, Michael Nyman, Niki Reiser, Annette Focks, Bille August have all been guests of the academy in the past.
